Information of the project
RUMSL, a joint venture of SECI and MPUVNL, has been designated as a Solar Power Park Developer (SPPD) by MNRE for the state of Madhya Pradesh and intends to develop the Floating Solar Park at Omkareshwar reservoir, Madhya Pradesh. RUMSL has decided to develop the Omkareshwar floating solar park as 6 (six) independent units (i.e. each unit of 100 MW) of floating grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plants. The 600 MW capacity is being developed in two (2) phases (Phase I and Phase II), with each phase comprising 3×100 MW units of floating solar photovoltaic plants. The phase I scope of work includes Units D, E and F. Through the bidding process, TATA Power has been awarded unit D of the Phase I project. Unit D comprises 20 identical floating arrays.
